Prior to Independence Day, Sec. 144 was implemented around Red Fort and Rajghat.

In advance of Independence Day, the Delhi Police has implemented Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in areas close to Rajghat, ITO, and Red Fort, according to officials on Thursday. 

The police stated, "No gathering of any type is permitted in these places. Previously, the Delhi Police had imposed a ban on the use of "sub-conventional aerial platforms" like paragliders till August 16.

Children were asking for the ganja-laced chocolates that were seized in Mangaluru. In Mangaluru, two store owners were discovered peddling chocolates laced with ganja, according to the police. A combined 120 kg of chocolates with ganja in them were discovered by the police.  Parents observed that their kids would frequently ask for a special chocolate that cost around 20 per piece.
