In one month, COVID-19 cases increased 80% worldwide.

According to a statement from the WHO, "Globally, nearly 1.5 million new COVID-19 cases...were reported in the last 28 days (10 July to 6 August 2023), an increase of 80%...compared to the previous 28 days." 

"While five WHO regions reported decreases in the numbers of both cases and deaths, Western Pacific Region reported an increase in cases and a decrease in deaths," it was stated.
