Images going viral show lit-up Indian buildings and monuments in the colours of the flag.

On social media, images of the nation's landmarks and buildings decorated in the national flag's colours for the 77th Independence Day have gone viral. 

Among the structures were Rashtrapati Bhawan, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Charminar, and the Lal Chowk Clock Tower in Jammu and Kashmir.
