Government restrictions on laptop, tablet, and computer imports

According to a notice released on Thursday, the government has barred the import of laptops, tablets, and computers with immediate effect. 

The notice said that "their import would be permitted against a valid licence for restricted imports." Additionally, HSN 8741-compliant servers and ultra-small form factor computers cannot be imported.
