Two-Wheelers and Autos Banned On Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway

Bengaluru: As of August 1st, the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway will no longer allow the transit of two-wheelers, autos, tractors, non-motorized vehicles, multi-axle hydraulic trailer vehicles, and quadricycles.

The decision was made by the authorities in response to an increase in the number of accidents on the expressway that were reported.

After a number of accidents were reported along the stretch since it opened in March of this year, the state-owned NHAI also established a committee of road safety specialists to conduct safety inspections along the Bengaluru Mysuru expressway. This raised concerns about the safety of commuters.
