Bengaluru Police arrests 5 men on terror charges this Tuesday night

Investigators from Bengaluru's Central Crime Branch detained five guys on suspicion of terrorism and found 45 rounds of live ammunition as well as seven locally produced pistols on them.

According to police, they detained the suspects for interrogation on Tuesday night and brought them into police custody for 15 days.

They said that the accused intended to carry out the explosion and other terrorism-related offences in the city.

The five accused were detained in the judicial custody of Bengaluru Central Prison after being indoctrinated by LeT agent T Nasir, who was detained for his suspected involvement in the 2008 serial bomb bombing case in Bengaluru.

The five suspects, who were detained in 2017 in connection with a murder investigation, encountered Nasir when they were in detention, where the latter radicalised them, according to the police.
