AirAsia staff who 'didn't wait for Karnataka governor' suspended

Bengaluru: Following the incident on Thursday, when a flight to Hyderabad took off before Karnataka governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot could board the aircraft, AirAsia India has suspended its station manager at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru, for a month.

The governor, according to Raj Bhavan, arrived on time, but mistakes made by the airline's ground crew caused the governor to miss the aircraft.

Before AirAsia representatives meet with the governor's office on Monday to explain the blunder, two other airline employees are probably going to be suspended.
