Dead Reckoning Part One is a 2023 American action spy film directed by Christopher McQuarrie from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen. It is the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. The film stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Esai Morales, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, and Henry Czerny.

Tom Cruise is back again to save Hollywood’s ass, as Steven Spielberg would have said. But literally, after doing the unthinkable last year and reviving the Summer Blockbuster genre with Top Gun: Maverick, Tom Cruise is back at it this year.

This time though, he is not alone. Accompanying the much-awaited Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1, are some other summer heavyweights, like Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer; Margot Robbie’s Barbie, and Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
